Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
At MommySearch, we believe privacy and clarity go together. This page explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how to opt out. It applies to mommysearch.com and all subdomains.
1. Who we are
MommySearch (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a parenting recommendation and discovery site. You can reach us at partners@mommysearch.com.
2. Information we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Specifically:
- Newsletter signups: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address (and the page you subscribed from, so we can understand which content drives subscriptions).
- Analytics: We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure pageviews, top pages, referrers, and Core Web Vitals. These services do not use cookies and do not identify you personally.
- Server logs: Our hosting provider (Vercel) records standard request data — IP address, user agent, requested URL, response status — for operational and security purposes. Logs are retained for a short period and not used for marketing.
- Cookies set by third parties: When ads (Google AdSense) and affiliate links (Amazon Associates) are loaded, those services may set their own cookies. See section 5.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run our own tracking pixel across other websites.
3. How we use information
- To send the newsletter you signed up for and let you reply
- To understand which content is useful and improve it
- To respond to direct emails (e.g., partnership inquiries)
- To enforce our Terms of Service and protect against abuse
4. Third parties we use
Most of the data flow on this site goes through services we trust. Each has its own privacy policy:
- Vercel — hosting, analytics, performance monitoring. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Beehiiv — newsletter delivery and subscriber storage. beehiiv.com/privacy
- Amazon Associates — affiliate links to Amazon products. When you click a link to Amazon and complete a purchase, Amazon records the referral via cookies. Amazon Privacy Notice
- Google — Search Console for verifying site ownership; Google AdSense for serving ads (if and when enabled). policies.google.com/privacy
5. Cookies and tracking
MommySearch itself doesn't set tracking cookies for analytics. The following third-party cookies may appear when you use the site:
- Google AdSense (if enabled): Sets cookies to serve and personalize ads, frequency-cap them, and measure performance. You can opt out of personalized advertising at adssettings.google.com or use the YourAdChoices opt-out.
- Amazon Associates: Sets a referral cookie when you click a link to Amazon, so Amazon can credit your purchase to MommySearch. The cookie typically lasts 24 hours.
- Beehiiv attribution: A small script tracks which page you subscribed from so we can attribute newsletter signups to specific content. It does not track you across other websites.
You can clear cookies anytime through your browser settings.
6. Affiliate links and recommendations
MommySearch is an Amazon Associate and earns from qualifying purchases. We also participate in other affiliate programs as we grow. Affiliate links are marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute. Affiliate revenue never influences our rankings or editorial decisions — see our About page for how we test and pick products.
7. Children's privacy
MommySearch is written for parents, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Your choices and rights
- Newsletter: Unsubscribe anytime with one click in any email we send. You can also request full deletion of your email address by emailing us.
- Ads opt-out: See section 5 for AdSense personalization opt-out.
- Data access or deletion: Residents of California (CCPA) and the European Union (GDPR) have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. Email partners@mommysearch.com to request.
9. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when we change services or practices. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will also be announced in the newsletter.
